I have two children, one with a disability and one without. At Equal Play they play, train and learn together, in one place close to home. That saves me the trips across town for after-school activities.
Thomas had a trauma with balls. The patience of the trainers and the rhythm of coming every week changed that. And I see that change far beyond hockey.
Radio Alphen · Football
The usual sports options nearby did not fit Mats, Sarine's son, who has a syndrome. For years there was nowhere for him to play. Then Sarine found Stichting Equal Play, which works with sports clubs to set up inclusive teams. That is how an inclusive football team began at SV Bernardus, where children with and without a disability train together every week, each at their own level.
'These children hear no so often,' Sarine says. 'Here, they simply belong.' The children help one another, make friends and fully take part. In this interview on Radio Alphen, she shares what a team like this gives the children.

RVC Celeritas · Coach
Together is the key word at Equal Play: children with and without a disability play sport side by side. Abdulla is a Vrij Spel Coach and trainer of the inclusive team at RVC Celeritas. He gives every child a role and lets everyone take part at their own level, with fun first.
That fun gives children confidence and the room to grow. That is how taking part becomes natural for every child.
